I am going to have a piece up at the opening show for Em-Space in Portland this coming weekend. I really wish that I could attend, but it's daVinci days here in Corvallis and I think Liam will really enjoy going to check that out – more so than an art opening, right? In any case, Em-Space sounds like an amazing new book arts center (and it happens to be in a building managed by my good friend) and so I hope I'll get up to visit it soon.

The opening art show is called Bridges. My piece is titled FALLING – a very loose interpretation of the bridges theme ... I was thinking of the seasons and the changes between each. It's a combination of some of the artwork I've drawn for the 2010 calendar so it's a sort of sneak peek of what's to come.

I thought I would post a few photos of the stages for this print. It is a small run of 51, printed on Somerset Textured, four colors: pale grey, ochre, silver sage and dark grey. Each 10" x 12" print is hand numbered on the front. I am really happy with it; it's a very peaceful print and complements the Maple Leaves piece I drew and printed for the Let Her Press show at Office a few years ago.

Numbers 1-3 will be at Em-Space; the rest I will sell directly at shows and through my online shops. I don't have the prints posted yet, but if you're interested, please just email me at lynn@satsumapress.com. I'm going to wait to put the prints in my shops til the show opens. If you're in Portland, please stop by Em-Space on July 18th between 6-9 to see the print in person + the artwork of many others.
