hello new year

Well hello again. A new year, a fresh start – hurrah! 2009 was difficult – full of both sadness and joy. My few weeks of self-imposed vacation were lovely and necessary. I am back in the studio this week – not quite full time because, I'm finding, that it takes a bit of time to ease back into the mad swing of things. Trust me, I have a head full of ideas and projects ... and I'll get right on these, soon. In the meantime, I've been doing things like cooking and knitting and reading and organizing and sorting and making new music mixes for this first month of 2010. All good stuff.

Speaking of good stuff ... you may or may not know that I love the combination of gray and yellow, so I'm thinking these sheets were made just for me ...

Go here, listen to this. Thoughts on the new year on NPR by Ben Mattlin, a journalist in Los Angeles who also happens to have Spinal Muscular Atrophy, same as my boy.

it does take a bit of time to ease back into things; my husband is still on vacation this week, so it's especially hard. looking forward to your new things!

Happy New Year to you too! It's the middle of January already, so hope my wishes are not too stale, but I've also been enjoying easing slowly back into the swing of things. Hope your year is an amazing one!
